On Saturday at 1:06 p.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Central Douglas County and Eastern Curry County and Josephine County.
"South winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected," says the weather service. "Due to shower activity, periods of stronger wind gusts are also possible in the valleys, such as in Cave Junction, Grants Pass, Roseburg, and other locations along the Interstate 5 and highway 199 corridors."
