A wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 8:13 p.m. in effect until Saturday at 1 p.m. for Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.
"South to southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph for the base of the northern Blue Mountains of Oregon," can be expected according to the weather service. "Strongest winds are expected along the slopes and base of the northern Blue Mountains, including Interstate 84 in the vicinity of Cabbage Hill. Winds will be lighter north and west of a line extending roughly from Pilot Rock through Pendleton to Milton-Freewater."
