On Thursday at 2:34 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from Friday 10 p.m. until Saturday 10 p.m. for South Central Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.
"Northeast winds 15 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected," states the weather service. "Winds will first become gusty at exposed locations in the higher terrain on Friday night, then will be strongest across the area during Saturday afternoon and evening."
