New detached homes are being built as cottage clusters in downtown Lake Oswego. The two-story Oswego Cottages in the Historic First Addition neighborhood is being marketed as condo alternatives by broker Justin Harnish although they have no common walls. Each of the two-bedroom cottages has just under 1,000 square feet of living space, a fenced yard and dedicated parking. The Oswego Cottages “are in its own little neighborhood within a neighborhood,” broker Justin Harnish told The Oregonian/OregonLive. The eight homes with a front porch and second-story terrace share a 7,500-square-foot lot on 3rd Street and G Avenue. There is an electric fireplace and engineered hardwood floors. The kitchen has quartz counters, a convection gas oven and stovetop, built-in microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. The Oswego Cottages are by developer Portland Leeds Living. Lake Oswego’s first cottage cluster of new detached homes on a lot are for sale.

People looking to buy a place in pricey Lake Oswego have been touring a model home unlike any other in the city. It’s the first of eight standalone cottages built on a downtown lot once restricted to a single house.
