American Airlines announced plans to significantly expand premium seating and restore seatback entertainment screens across its narrow-body fleet, marking a major investment aimed at attracting higher-spending travelers and improving its financial performance relative to rivals Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. The carrier said the changes will roll out over several years and affect hundreds of aircraft, Reuters reported.
