On 6/27/25 Curry County Sheriff's Search and Rescue conducted a joint agency Swift Water Training exercise along with Coos County Search and Rescue, Sixes Fire, Curry County Aquatic Safety, U.S. Forest Service Gold Beach Ranger District, and U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement. The training was organized by Sergeant Jared Gray and lead trainer was Marine Deputy Jordan Rhodes. The training took place on the Rogue River at Lobster Creek where about 30 members trained for real world emergency situations that occur every year on our rivers. This training is priceless to our SAR members, Law Enforcement, and other First Responders. We are in the busy summer months and have many locals and tourists enjoying our waterways. Please remember to wear your life jackets and be safe while on the water!Photos from Curry County Justice's post
