Description
Passover is already underway, having begun at sundown on April 1 and continuing through April 9. The Jewish holiday commemorates Israelites’ Exodus from Egypt and is centered on the Seder, a ritual meal held on the first nights of Passover in which family and friends gather to retell the story of liberation. Traditional Seder foods include matzo (unleavened bread), bitter herbs, charoset (a fruit-and-nut mixture), and wine, each symbolizing parts of that story.
