Rescue teams recovered the remains of five climbers who disappeared during a November 2025 avalanche on Yalung Ri, a Himalayan peak near Nepal’s border with Tibet, after melting snow exposed the area where they were buried.

The bodies of five climbers who disappeared in an avalanche on a remote Himalayan peak last year have been recovered nearly nine months after they were swept away by snow and ice during an expedition near Nepal’s border with Tibet. Officials said the remains were discovered after seasonal melting exposed areas that had been buried for months, Yahoo! reported.
