Description

Residents across Hawaii began cleaning up Monday after Tropical Storm Lala swept through the island chain, leaving flooded neighborhoods, damaged homes, widespread power outages and debris-strewn roads as the system moved farther into the Pacific Ocean. Forecasters warned that flooding, mudslides and dangerous surf conditions could linger even as the storm continued away from the state, CNN reported.
