Description

Chris Chambers of Ashland Fire & Rescue says fires only burn where fuel is available, and residents are knowingly making choices about landscaping, mulch and vegetation that determine their vulnerability to embers and flames.

The southern Oregon city of Ashland sits in a picturesque but fire-prone forested location at the base of the Siskiyou and Cascade mountains, making wildfires a serious concern.
