What a difference a day can make! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Make a Difference Day at Lions Park. With 18 volunteers working together, the entire pile of bark mulch was spread across the little kids' playground in just two hours. Volunteers also helped: Pick up trash throughout the park Weed the large playground area Weed-whack around the playground perimeters Paint over vandalism in the skate park These improvements help create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming space for local families and children to enjoy. A special thank you to Dr. Coe, the Parks and Beautification Committee, and every volunteer who donated their time and energy on Saturday. Your commitment to our community is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. We would also like to thank the Lower Umpqua Hospital Foundation for sponsoring the bark mulch that made this playground improvement possible. Their support helps create safer, more enjoyable spaces for local children and families.
