Description
Portland State hung with Weber State for a while, but the Wildcats pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 43-16 victory in the Big Sky Conference opener for both teams Saturday in Ogden, Utah.
William Haskell’s six-yard touchdown pass to Branden Alvarez trimmed Weber State’s lead to 29-16 with 5:38 to play, but the Wildcats answered on the next play from scrimmage.
