On Thursday at 9:25 a.m. a special weather statement was released by the National Weather Service until 11:30 a.m. for Foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon, North Central Oregon and Central Oregon.

"Patchy fog, locally dense, is present in portions of central and north-central Oregon as well as along the foothills of the southern Blue Mountains. Visibility as low as one-quarter mile has been observed along US 26, US 97, and OR 218. Expect rapid reductions in visibility over short distances, slow down and allow extra distance between other vehicles on the road. Fog is anticipated to lift through late morning," according to the weather service.
