On Wednesday at 4:52 a.m. the National Weather Service released a special weather statement until 11 p.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
"A return of an active weather pattern with an associated atmospheric river is expected to impact the Cascades. As snow levels drop to 2000-3000 feet, Snowfall totals through Wednesday are favored to be less than one 1 inch (60-80% confidence). However, additional snows are possible Thursday night and Friday with expected amounts around 2 to 3 inches at Santiam Pass," states the weather service.
