On Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. a special weather statement was released by the National Weather Service until 9 p.m. for Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon and North Central Oregon.
"Patchy dense fog is reducing visibilities to one-quarter mile or less along the foothills and slopes of the Blue Mountains as well as the higher terrain of north-central Oregon. Affected areas include, but may not limited to, Interstate 84, OR 11, OR 204, US 395, US 97, and US 197. If you are traveling this evening, slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave extra distance between your vehicle and those around you," says the weather service.
