The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement at 8:04 p.m. on Wednesday until Thursday at 12:30 a.m. for Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.

"Patchy to areas of dense freezing fog will produce localized visibilities of a quarter mile or less along I-84, US 395, US 12, and OR 11 in the lower Columbia Basin and along the foothills of the Blue Mountains. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you," states the weather service.
