Description

Each year, thousands of toadlets emerge from Sunriver’s waterways in late July and early August, migrating from Lake Aspen and other wetland areas to the forest.


Western toads have begun to pop their heads above streams adjacent to the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory in preparation for their great migration.

THEFT II ARREST I Officers responded to a Theft in Progress at the Target Esplanade. A Loss Prevention Employee recognized a female inside the store from an unreported theft of $117. The same female actively concealed items and proceeded to self-checkout, only paying for a portion of her items. Officers determined she exited the store with over $700 in stolen merchandise.
