The Lake Oswego Lakers (1-0) will look to build on their impressive season-opening victory when they host the Sheldon Irish in a matchup of 6A heavyweights Friday night. The Lakers, coming off a dominant 40-3 win at South Medford last week, are led by senior quarterback Hudson Kurland, a Washington State commit. Lake Oswego reached the state title game last season. Sheldon enters the 2025 campaign having advanced to the 6A open semifinals last year. Junior wide receiver Barry Myles figures to be a focal point of the Irish attack, bringing speed and playmaking ability that will test the Lakers’ defensive secondary. Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET on Friday, September 5 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
