Description

Democratic lawmakers in Washington are looking to pass a package of bills this session aimed at curbing gun violence. The bills would require a permit to purchase guns, restrict bulk purchases of ammunition and firearms, impose an excise tax on firearm and ammunition sales, add new requirements for weapons dealers and further limit the public places where people can carry firearms.

Sandra Ramirez’s son Joseph was hanging out with friends last February at the home of a boy whose parents owned a gun.
