Commissioner Julia Brim-Edwards delayed a vote on her proposal to pin the tax on high earners to inflation due to uncertainty around the potential impacts on the preschool initiative.

Following a tense public hearing and weeks of discussion, Multnomah County will postpone voting on a proposal to change the tax that funds its tuition-free preschool program.
