** Violation of a Restraining Order Arrest **
On 12/19/2024, around 11:27 AM, Sgt. Slater began a violation of a protection/restraining order investigation. The reporting party stated she had a restraining order and had received multiple text messages from Lane E. Neely (41). North Coos Dispatch assisted Sgt. Slater with confirming the restraining order was active and valid, with Lane ordered by a Judge to not have any contact with the reporting party.
Deputy Kent assisted Sgt. Slater, as he knew an address where he had previously contacted Lane. Deputy Kent arrived at a residence on Dusty Road, south of Coos Bay, and contacted Lane. Sgt. Slater responded and interviewed Lane, whom was subsequently arrested for the violation.
Lane was transported to the Coos County Jail on 13-counts of violation of the restraining order.
