At 4 a.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm watch valid from Wednesday 5 p.m. until Friday 11 p.m. for North Oregon Cascades, Cascades of Marion and Linn counties and Cascades of Lane County.
"Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of up to 20 inches to 4500 feet, and up to 35 inches at higher elevations possible," adds the weather service. "There is around a 60-80% chance for 12 inches or more of snow late Wednesday through Friday as two frontal systems affect the area."
