On Thursday at 2:11 p.m. an updated excessive heat warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Monday at 9 p.m. for Eastern Curry County and Josephine County and Jackson County.

"Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 100 to 115 degrees and low temperatures in the upper 60s expected over multiple days. Overnight low temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 60s," says the weather service. "This will be a multi day heat wave with the warmest temperatures on Friday and Saturday. The Medford Airport has a 40% chance to tie or exceed the all time temperature record of 115."
