On Wednesday at 11:06 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated dense fog advisory in effect until Thursday at 11 a.m. for North Oregon Coast Range Lowlands, Central Oregon Coast Range Lowlands, Lower Columbia River, Tualatin Valley, Benton County Lowlands, Linn County Lowlands and Lane County Lowlands.

The weather service comments, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog, and freezing fog in spots across rural areas. Or the Air Stagnation Advisory, a persistent inversion with light and variable winds will lead to a period of stagnant air conditions. This scenario could result in the build up of air pollutants near the surface over time."
