An updated weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 5:03 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5:45 p.m. for Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.
The storms may bring penny-sized hail (0.75 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
