In the only game between the State’s two Division 1 men’s basketball teams this season, Oregon, trailing Oregon State by ten-points, came back late and beat the Beavers 78-75 for an in-state rivalry game Thursday night, Gill Coliseum, Corvallis. The two teams, now in different conferences, will only play each other this one-time. The women’s teams opted to not meet. The Ducks (5-0), will travel to Las Vegas, Nov. 26th, to play Texas A&M in the Players ERA Festival. OSU (4-1) heads to the University of North Texas on Monday, Nov. 25, 5 p.m., Denton, TX, on ESPN+

Oregon’s volleyball team has a Big 10 match at Michigan, Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 4 p.m., televised on B1G+, after the Ducks dispensed of Michigan State Thursday night, 3-0, at East Lansing, MI. Oregon is 12-5, 20-6.

NCAA XC Championships

The NCAA 2024 Cross Country Championships will be run on Saturday, Nov. 23, 7:20 a.m., Madison, WI.

In a flashback to the old West Coast Football Days, the Washington State Cougars visit the Oregon State Beavers in a newly named Pac-2 2024 Conference Championship. That’s all that’s left of the former “Conference of Champions” as everyone bolted for other conferences and leagues to boost their TV and league shared revenues. That left OSU and WSU on their own. Saturday’s game at Reser Stadium, Corvallis, 4 p.m., televised on The CW, is a far cry from just a year ago when the Pac-12 mattered.
