With their backs against the wall, the Oregon Ducks softball team needed two wins on Sunday to capture the Eugene Regional and they did it! After falling to Stanford 14-1 (6) on Saturday, Oregon was put in a do or die situation with the Cardinal. It was do. Oregon won the first game, 15-5, and took the regional with a 10-7 win in the second game. The Ducks (51-8) now host a Super Regional against Liberty (50-13), beginning Friday, May 23, best two-out-of-three.

UO release - EUGENE, Ore. – The Men of Oregon won the 2025 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field team title Sunday at Hayward Field, scoring in 13 of 21 events on its way to 110 points. With the weekend result, the UO men completed a sweep of the conference indoor and outdoor championships. Simeon Birnbaum capped the weekend with an individual victory at 5,000 meters. On the women's side, the Ducks won four titles Sunday and finished as the conference runner-up by just eight points behind top-ranked USC. Klaudia Kazimierska won the 800 meters, Silan Ayyildiz and Aaliyah McCormick completed their indoor-outdoor double at 5,000 meters and in the 100 hurdles, respectively, and Ryann Porter took the top spot in the triple jump. In victory, the Oregon men recorded their 23rd outdoor conference title and first under head coach Jerry Schumacher. The Ducks took down a Big Ten field that featured five top-20 teams. "I think you could see (their hunger) in every event that they contested—that they were fighting every step of the way," Schumacher said. "Nothing was given away easy by the men's team. They didn't give anything away and I think a team that can do that for every event is hard to beat."
