Portland Police Chief Bob Day said the man and woman shot by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in Southeast Portland on Thursday underwent surgery and are in stable condition. He held a press conference Friday at the Police Bureau.

Portland Police Chief Bob Day confirmed Friday that the two people wounded in a shooting by a U.S. Border Patrol officer have some “nexus” to the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
