The Tualatin Timberwolves (2-0) welcome the South Salem Saxons (0-1) to the Wolves Den for a nonleague gridiron clash Friday night. Coach Dominic Ferraro’s Timberwolves are coming off an impressive 13-7 road win over perennial powerhouse Jesuit last week. Senior quarterback Owen Hagerman connected with senior receiver Trent Dearborn and tight end Cole Newton on the only scoring plays Tualatin needed. Coach Josh Vanlue’s Saxons are looking to rebound from a 49-32 home loss to North Salem, despite junior quarterback Kellen Bowman’s 455 passing yards. The Timberwolves dominated this matchup last season with a lopsided 66-22 victory in Salem. Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT on Friday, September 12 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
