Description

Hundreds gathered in downtown Portland Thursday, May 1, 2025 for a protest pushing back on federal policies and President Donald Trump. A new poll commissioned by The Oregonian/OregonLive shows Trump's positive standing in Oregon has slipped from a decade-high of 42% reached early in his second term to 33%.

Earlier this year, Phil Heron of Oregon City said he switched his voter registration from Republican to Democrat, fed up with President Donald Trump and the Republicans who continue to support him.
