Lori Chavez-DeRemer represented Oregon's 5th Congressional District from 2023 to 2025 and was mayor of Happy Valley from 2011 to 2019.

U.S. Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer — who represented Oregon’s 5th Congressional District from 2023 to 2025 — is under investigation by the agency’s inspector general on allegations the married cabinet member has had an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate, spent taxpayer money on personal travel and kept champagne, bourbon and Kahlua in her office, where she drank during the workday.
