Board members for Clean Water Insurance Company attended the 2024 Hawaii Captive Insurance Council forum at the Grand Hyatt on the island of Kauai. The insurance company has not made public records about who attended and how much the trip cost.

Washington County’s sewer board promised increased transparency and accountability last week as it voted to adopt new oversight measures in response to an investigation by The Oregonian/OregonLive that uncovered lavish spending at the public agency.
