First responders from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue strap Jonathan Edwards III to a board and render medical aid on Dec. 31, 2023, after a train dragged him away from the Beaverton Transit Center.

TriMet quietly paid $830,300 last year to the family of a 65-year-old man who died after he was dragged 100 yards by a MAX train when his trench coat got stuck in its doors.
