Description

Florida reported two deaths and Louisiana reported five deaths due to the flesh-eating bacteria Vibrio vulnificus, which breeds in brackish coastal water or through raw seafood.

Health officials are warning the public to stay alert in warm, coastal waters after a rare, flesh-eating bacterial infection killed at least seven people across two states.
