** Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest **  
  
On 01/11/2025, around 7:10 PM, Deputy H. Francis was patrolling the area of Seven Devils Road near Hinch Lane when she observed a Chevy Suburban driving with no taillights and failing to maintain the lane of travel. Deputy Francis conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for the observed violations and contacted the occupants. The driver was soon after identified as Chad D. Peters (37) and passenger as Jacob S. Potter (35), whom Deputy Francis recognized from previous law enforcement contacts.  
   
After a records check of Chad’s driver’s status, he was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Chad was subsequently cited and released for Driving While Suspended on the Misdemeanor level. The passenger, Jacob, was found to be on probation and after further investigation, a glass pipe and a small plastic bag with crystalline substance were found in his possession. Jacob’s probation officer was notified of the findings, and subsequently arrested for violating his probation. Jacob was transported to Coos County Jail and booked without incident.
