Description
🚨 Traffic Stop 🚨
Deputy Mong was out patrolling Seven Devils Road this morning in the rain when he came across a pickup pulling a 5th-Wheel camper trailer with the hydraulic slides out as it was traveling. The slide outs were in Deputy Mong's lane of travel, requiring him to maneuver to avoid a collision.
Ironically enough, Deputy Mong was just clearing from a non-injury single vehicle rollover crash in the same area, near mile-post 12.5. The female driver of that crashed vehicle explained that another vehicle was traveling the opposite direction and partially in her lane of travel, which led to her trying to avoid a head-on crash.
The pickup and the camper stopped was not the vehicle involved, however it most likely could have caused another vehicle crash.
The operator of the pickup pulling the camper was issued a citation and received verbal warnings for other violations.
Great work Deputy Mong!
