Description
There’s a saying in sports that it’s hard for a team to defeat an opponent three times during one season. The Catlin Gabel Eagles didn’t listen.
The top-ranked Eagles had beaten No. 2 Oregon Episcopal twice during the regular season and they faced the Aardvarks again in the Class 3A/2A/1A state championship game on Saturday. The outcome was the same as before, with the Eagles (17-0-1) winning 1-0 over the Aardvarks at Liberty High School to win their 15th title in program history and their first since the 2021 season.
