Tigard football coach Todd Crist talks to players ahead of a game against Roosevelt on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025 at Tigard High School.

As Roosevelt and Tigard lined up for the opening kickoff of Friday night’s non-league game at Douglass Memorial Field, the PA announcer’s voice boomed across the field.
