Description
Voters in Multnomah County will see three familiar names on their ballots running for county chair. It’s the first time ranked-choice voting will be used for this position. Julia Brim-Edwards is a current county commissioner who previously served on the Portland Public Schools Board of Education. She was also a longtime lobbyist for Nike for 17 years. Sharon Meieran is an emergency department medical doctor as well as a lawyer. She previously served as a county commissioner for nearly a decade. And Shannon Singleton is a current commissioner, trained social workers and was a longtime housing and mental health policy advisor. The three of them join us for a debate and make their case to voters on why they should win their vote.
“Think Out Loud®” broadcasts live at noon every day and rebroadcasts at 8 p.m.
