Description

Heide Lambert was elected mayor of Waldport, a coastal town about 140 miles from Portland, last fall and took office in January. She was arrested after taking her old seat at the council table on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

An Oregon coast sheriff took the highly unusual step Thursday of arresting the mayor of Waldport for taking her seat at the council table after all six other members of the council had voted to expel her from office.
