Description

A Portland Public Schools student gets one-on-one reading tutoring at Ockley Green Middle School in North Portland during a summer learning program in 2025. Portland is among the districts chosen for state funding for summer school grants this year, but a trio of high needs districts in east Portland, Troutdale, Wood Village and Gresham were not.

A total of 106 school districts from across Oregon got word this week that they’d made the cut for a share of $35 million in state funding for summer learning programs.
