The weather service has issued a heat advisory in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The splash pad at Tualatin Commons will run daily from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
Additionally, the Juanita Pohl Center (located at 8513 SW Tualatin Rd., inside Community Park) is another great place to find some relief during regular business hours, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and Sat 9am-12pm.
Remember, heat is the number one weather-related killer in the United States. Protect yourself by:
1. Staying hydrated
2. Staying in an air-conditioned indoor location as much as possible
3. Avoiding strenuous activities

Our library may extend its hours to provide a cooling center when:
1. The forecasted high or actual temperature is 98°F or above.
2. Washington County activates its Severe Heat Shelter response plan.
3. The National Weather Service issues an Excessive Heat Warning or Advisory for our area.
