The SAFE Project
๐Ÿ’œ PURPLE THURSDAY ๐Ÿ’œ
Stand up against domestic violence by participation in Purple Thursday today, October 16th. Your choice to wear purple is a powerful, visible act of solidarity with the countless survivors, family members, neighbors, and colleagues who have been affected by violence, and a silent message that you are a safe person to turn to for support.
๐Ÿ“ธ: Pictured here, Executive Director Rachael with The SAFE Project's Coos & Curry County Advocates: Stephanie, Karla, Emily, Jessica, Sarah, and River. Advocates are the heart and soul of the mission our agency serves, and we are so lucky to have such an amazing team supporting survivors every day! ๐Ÿ’œ
Action Steps to Get Involved:
๐Ÿ’œ Wear It: Put on your purple best, from your favorite scarf to a bold jacket or bright cardigan, and encourage your team, friends, and family to do the same.
๐Ÿ’œ Talk About It: Turn your clothing into a conversation. Use your purple to spark a dialogue: Who are you wearing purple for? Ask "How can we help?" to move from awareness to action within your circles.
๐Ÿ’œ Share the message: Tag The SAFE Project or send us your group or individual photos over fb messenger and we'll choose some lucky winners for free SAFE & DVAM SWAG. ๐Ÿ˜
๐Ÿ’œ Invest in Hope: Please consider donating in honor of who you're wearing purple for, or making a pledge in support of survivors. Every Purple Pledge, whether a personal contribution or an organized group collection, directly funds vital services for local victims and survivors.
