Description

A dead dairy cow lies on the beach near the mouth of the Nestucca River, north of Neskowin in Tillamook County, on March 12, 2026, after a major storm. James Erb found it while walking the beach with his dog after a major storm.

You never know what you’re going to find on an Oregon beach: a sand dollar, a candy wrapper from China, a chunk of petrified wood, maybe even a 63-million-year-old fossil. And, if luck is really on your side, one of those old Japanese glass fishing floats from a bygone era.
