“I think it was a way for me to express frustration, outrage, and feelings of helplessness,” Councilor Mitch Green told The Oregonian/OregonLive. “I want to acknowledge that those tweets are not a good look, especially for a sitting elected official.

A Portland city councilor professed his “pure hatred for the Portland police,” defended and promoted rioting and mocked business owners seeking help from the city in a series of resurfaced social media posts he deleted prior to running for elected office in 2024.
