The Coos County Animal Shelter is mitigating an outbreak of Parvo which is deadly to domesticated animals. All animals coming into the shelter are quarantined for a two week period to ensure that they are not infected. As such, intakes are being accepted on a case by case basis only. Currently, the population of the animal shelter is such that intakes are outpacing adoptions. If a member of the public is interested in adopting, fostering, or relinquishing an animal, please call the Coos County Animal Shelter at 541-751-2480 between noon and 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
