Description

Gov. Tina Kotek signs a landmark bill to limit spending in Oregon politics while surrounded by lawmakers, good government advocates and business entities on April 3, 2024. More than a year later, efforts by the Secretary of State’s Office to carry out the law have stalled.

When Oregon legislators approved limits on political contributions last spring, they promised they’d soon move beyond the basics of the law and deliver needed clarifications and improvements on how it would work.
