Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners. In Coos Bay alone, we have 700 kids a year involved with this incredible program. But it does cost us $25.00 a year per kid to keep them enrolled. We here at the Coos Bay Public Library love Dolly Parton. So, we wanted to throw her a birthday party in celebration of everything that she does and use it as an opportunity to fundraise to make sure that the kids can keep reading.
