Terminal illness delays trial of man accused of forced labor in Oregon

U.S. District Judge Michael J. McShane said he would not require the defendant, who has stage 4 colon cancer, to return to Oregon from New York to stand trial.

A federal judge this week declined to set a trial date for a former Grants Pass man accused of holding two adult siblings captive in his home for forced labor.
