Mark Remy was on a memorial bicycle ride in Portland for the man shot and killed by Border Patrol officers in Minneapolis when he ended up at Saturday’s protest at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in the South Waterfront neighborhood. Parents brought children, elderly people came with walkers, families pushed strollers and others walked with dogs, he said.
